“Almost every nonprofit ‘intersects’ in some fundamental way with a building – whether that building is its origin story, at the core of its service work, or a place it calls headquarters. I like being at those intersections, where legal work can profoundly influence an organization’s impact and outcomes.”

Sandra Lee Rosenberg

Attorney

Sandy loves architecture and engaging in work for nonprofits, incorporating years of experience in construction and real estate to help nonprofits successfully manage the legal components of their mission-driven building projects, and to protect their assets and interests in real estate transactions.

Having managed large construction projects for developers, Sandy has learned to listen carefully to her clients and to collaborate with multiple people to successfully complete complex projects. Sandy’s previous experience as in-house counsel also informs her work, particularly on governance and risk management matters. Approachable and pragmatic, Sandy serves organizations well as she helps them mitigate risk and understand their options – and the impact their real estate decisions can have on their broader operations.

Throughout her career, Sandy has served on nonprofit boards and supported community groups, including working extensively with historic preservation organizations and with local parks and garden groups. She also served Boy Scouts of America Troop 116 for years as an engaged parent volunteer.
